Bishop Nigel's Visit 

The Bishop of Manchester, Nigel McCulloch, visited us on Ascension Day, as part of his pilgrimage around the diocese. Run the Race is Bishop Nigel's pilgrimage to all parishes in the diocese.

While he was in the parish he visited one of the Commonwealth Games volunteers and an after-school club; he attended a Community Reception, hosted by the Parochial Church Council, before preaching and presiding at the Sung Eucharist. At this service, we also completed our series Singing the Psalms, which had started in February.

Bishop Nigel also met with members of the community, and gave his public support to the Mahoro Must Stay campaign, as reported in this article on the Diocesan website.
