On Saturday October 17th, members of our congregation joined the Pilgrimage against Poverty event that took place in Manchester.

The walk started in Gorton at 12:30 pm, and went to Central Hall on Oldham Street via the Ashton Canal, Sports City and Ancoats. The slogan for the event was 'Walk, Give and Pray for Change'. One of the four aspects of poverty they are targeting is the destitution of those refused asylum, which ties in with our Mahoro Must Stay campaign.
